Welcome to the 2012-2013 School Year!
Every school year brings a degree of certainty that no matter how well prepared; we will experience new or unexpected challenges. The Hickman Mills C-1 School District is committed to maintaining a safe environment for learning. Without safe schools, teachers can’t teach and students can’t learn. A safe environment is fundamental to the success of the academic mission. The Security Department looks forward to working with students, parents and staff as a means to ensure the safety of ALL person in our district.

Off-Duty Police Officers
Off-duty Kansas City Missouri Police Officers have provided the security needs of the Hickman Mills School District since 1993. In working with the officers it’s extremely important to also understand the role and their legal authority as it pertains to security in the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. While there are some limitations for the officers, the fact remains that with full police powers and authority officers can be very effective in the school environment. The deterrent value of a uniformed police officer is something that is incalculable. The Hickman Mills C-1 School District and Board of Education is strongly committed to issues relative to safety and security. The district has diligently worked for many years to maintain safe schools and a tranquil environment in which the educational process can flourish.
