  • 5th Grade Promotion
    Date Change
The Santa Fe 5th grade promotion and breakfast have been rescheduled due to the additional calendar days making up this year's snow days. The new date and time is Thursday, May 23rd from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

    Kansas City Zoo Field Trip
Those students who were at school, and on time, every day during the state testing (Terra Nova and MAP) will be participating in a school field trip to the Kansas City Zoo on May 21st. Information will be coming home soon with details!

     Library Books & Materials Due
Please help your child locate any and all books or resources that were checked out from the Santa Fe Media Center and have them sent back to the library by Friday, May 17th. We are hoping for 100% of the books to be returned for students to read next year!

     Read To Succeed
The Read to Succeed reading program was a big success this school year. The fall program had 85 participants and the spring program 69 participants with 2,217 books read. In May, five students were chosen by Mrs. Rowles from the entries to receive $20 worth of books from the Santa Fe Spring Book Fair! Those students were Aaron Biggins-Hoof, Preston Black, Saevon Hall, Estephany Moreno, and Nicolas Rogers.

    Summer Reading Program
Your students will be bringing home a summer reading packet containing information about the Santa Fe, local libraries, and book store summer reading programs. Please encourage your child(ren) to complete the reading logs so that they may keep their reading skills sharp and to earn great prizes. Here is the link to the Mid-Continent Public Library's reading program: http://www.mymcpl.org/kids/srp.

Remember to READ, READ, READ this summer!
