The student learning/mastery will be assessed based on several variables including standard assessment tools, individual learning styles and individual student ability level.
I will keep you informed throughout the year through phone contacts and email. If you have email, I will be able to communicate more effectively, rather than relying on your student to bring information home.
This year we will be continuing the “Power of I”. Students will receive an incomplete for work that is not turned in, or also for work that is not at a mastery level. Mastery is set at 80%. If a student earns a grade below mastery, they will be required to revise their work and submit it again. Homework will be given each week.
Students that are absent have the same number of days to make-up any missing work due to the absence. Grades will be based on total points.
