Functions & Responsibilities

The Information Technology (IT) Department encompasses several areas which affects all district staff and students.  These areas include, but are not limited to the following:

·        Setup, installation and maintenance of software and hardware

·        Preparation of software enabling instructional (i.e. teacher) installation and delivery

·        Inventory of all district equipment

·        Maintain a Help Desk to provide technical support and assistance

·        Creation and maintenance of student and district staff accounts

In accordance with a Hickman Mills C1 School District key strategic objective, our mission is to efficiently acquire, maintain and utilize district facilities and technologies to enhance the learning environment and academic achievement for our students.

 

To insure we accomplish our mission, the Technology Department deploys a philosophy that we will:

 

·        Provide a state of the art technology infrastructure that supports and enhance the student’s learning experience

·        Provide quality customer service and support to students and instructional staff

·        Offer a commitment to customer enthusiasm by utilizing teamwork built upon trust and respect

·        Seek continuous improvement of the Technology functions with accountability at all levels
