NEW VISITOR & VOLUNTEER SECURITY PROCEDURES: Beginning Monday, September 17, 2018, all HMC-1 buildings will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System to strengthen campus safety for students and faculty. The Raptor system will better allow us to screen visitors, contractors, and volunteers in our schools and provide us with a safer environment for our students and staff. Upon entering a district building, visitors will be asked to present a government-issued ID, such as a driver’s license, which can either be scanned or manually entered into the system. #HMC1AttendanceMatters: This September, we are holding our "Let's Be Present...Attendance Matters" campaign to highlight why it is so important for your child to be at school every day and on time. Each week, parents will receive an email with an attendance tip and information. Tips will also be shared on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Then Wednesday, September 26, we want to see each and every child at school for our HMC-1 Day of Perfect Attendance.
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SUPERINTENDENT'S COUNCIL: Superintendent Yolanda Cargile, Ed.D. is accepting applications from students grades 7-12 to participate in her Student Advisory Council. All eligible students are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a unique opportunity to speak directly with Superintendent Cargile and voice your opinion on topics that matter to you. Applications are due no later than September 14.
ENROLLMENT: Returning families still needing to enroll for the 2018-2019 school year should complete their Online Application. Once the application is submitted and approved, you will receive a follow-up email.
Families new the district should visit our Residency & Enrollment office to enroll. Parents are encouraged to fill out our Online Registration application prior to visiting.

Weekly Parent Update: Mr. Miller puts out a weekly update for parents and students with information about what's happening at the Freshman Center. The S'more for the week of September 23rd is posted.
If you missed our iPad rollout night, you will need to schedule an appointment to complete the checkout process so that your student can receive their iPad. The process will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Please call Mrs. Myers at 316-7374 to schedule your appointment. Available times are hourly between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All students and parent/guardians must view the iPad Care and Acceptable Use Policy video before being issued an iPad.
