Summer Math Challenge- Here is a way to keep your student's mind sharp for next year. On average, students lose 2.6 months in grade-level equivalency in math skills during summer break. It’s easy for parents to sign up their children to participate. Fight summer math loss with the Missouri Math Challenge!
Yearbooks are on sale! If you still want a yearbook, you can still get one by going to the treering website and "sign in" using your student's login and password, or by registering. If you created an account last year, you can sign in with that account. BUT since you missed the deadline, there will be a shipping fee, and it will be shipped to your address.
More information under "Families" on the Millennium webpage.
ATTENDANCE MATTERS: Attending school is always important, but for school funding, it is especially important on January 31, 2018. Attendance numbers that day will directly affect the amount of funding HMC-1 receives from the state. We ask parents to make sure their child attends school and arrives on time January 31.
CONGRATULATIONS DR. MERKERSON: Principal Craig Merkerson, Ed.D. has been named an Exemplary New Principal by the Kansas City Suburban Elementary School Association. Dr. Merkerson is one of only 12 principals to be receiving the honor. He was selected for his outstanding performance, both at Millennium and in the community. We are proud of you, Dr. Merkerson!
WINTER WEATHER HAS ARRIVED! We ask all parents to review HMC-1's protocol for closing or delaying the opening of school due to snow and inclement weather. This is especially important because this year, it includes important information regarding 2-hour late starts. To review our process, where closure/late start information will be posted, and more, read our Inclement Weather Protocol.
