  • Return to Play: In conjunction with the schools in the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference, Ruskin High School will implement a two-phase reopening plan of athletic facilities for use by activity groups and athletic teams. Detailed information can be found here

  • DEVICE DROP-OFF & BELONGINGS PICK-UP: HMC-1 students with district-issued hot spots, iPads, and MacBooks must return those items to Smith-Hale or Ruskin during designated times May 27-30. 

    During this time you may also retrieve student belongings and return library books, etc. at the student's home school. See the district's flyer (PDF) or website calendar for details.

  • SCHOOL CLOSURES: Missouri Governor Mike Parson has mandated schools close for the remainder of the academic year. Students should continue learning through HMC-1's Flexible Learning Plan, available on the district website. Choice boards for the remainder of the year have been posted. Please watch your email and the website for additional announcements.

  • PROPOSED CHANGES HMC-1 is exploring changes to school start times and bus transportation. These changes will significantly reduce transportation costs by using fewer buses. If the Board of Education approves, the proposed changes would begin with the 2020-2021 school year.

  • OFF CAMPUS PROGRAMMING AT A GLANCE.   There are many off campus learning programs available to Ruskin students.  Please follow this link to the newsletter that highlights all of great programs and career readiness options.

  • STUDENT MACBOOK DEPLOYMENT  The process of rolling out MacBooks for students that missed the intial days has begun.  Students and parents can watch the video here and fill out the electronic forms online.  After the process is complete most students should receive their Macbook the next day.
