  • FOOD RECALL NOTICE: On Tuesday, May 9th, our School Nutrition Department was notified of a food recall involving Hilltop Hearth frozen waffles. These waffles had been used throughout the district on Monday, May 8th as part of a new chicken and waffles option on the menu. Per our standards, Nutrition Services contacted every school's kitchen directly and determined that most of the waffles had already been consumed by students and staff. What had not been consumed will be destroyed.

The recall is the result of potential product contamination caused by Listeria monocytogenes. There has not been any reported cases of illness, according to the manufacturer, Pinnacle Foods. For more information on the recall, click here.
