  • Good Nutrition is essential for optimal growth, development, and learning!  The HMC-1 School Nutrition Department is dedicated to offering our students healthy school meals, even when our students are learning safely at home.  Our team is working diligently to provide enhanced online meal ordering features.  Watch for more info coming soon!  For next week, here’s what to expect for school meals.

Meal Distribution Details

  •  Meal Distribution Details:

    • LOCATIONS: Compass, Dobbs, Ervin, Ingels, Ruskin, Santa Fe, Truman, Warford.
    • DAY: Wednesday
    • TIMES: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. OR 4 – 6 p.m.
    • SAFETY PROCESS: We use a strict NO CONTACT process to safely provide meals for our families.  Meal bags are set on clean, disinfected carts for you to pick up and place in your car, or to carry home on foot.  All carts are disinfected after each use. 


Meal Pick-Up FAQ

  • What do I need to do to pick up meals for my student(s)?

    • Meals are available for pick up on Wednesdays of every week, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. OR 4 - 6 p.m.
      • If you wish to pick up meals for multiple children enrolled at other sites, please contact the Nutrition Services Office at 816-316-8212, to help us ensure we have plenty of meals for your family at the site you wish to pick up.
    • Plan to have your student(s) first and last name as it appears on your enrollment form as well as your student(s) MOSIS ID#. The MOSIS ID# can be found in the parent portal under the today tab or on your student’s iPad or MacBook. Please have this information available on a piece of paper or on your phone.

    Do I have to bring my student(s) to pick up meals?

    • No, parents/guardians do not need to bring children to pick up meals at school. However, you will need to verify student enrollment to pick up meals, even if your child is present. 

    How do I order meals?

    • Set up a parent account
    • Validate email
    • Know students ID#
    • Add students to parent account
    • Select "lunch" to order curbside meals

    What will School Meals look like?

    • Each Fresh Harvest Meal Kit will contain enough food to provide at least 10 breakfast, lunch, and supper meals for each district family. The kit will include bulk fresh produce, lean proteins, whole grains, fresh milk, 100% fruit juice, individually packaged brekfast items, food storage and cooking instructions, plus suggest recipes, too!
    • NOTE: Meals will consist of some cold items to be consumed immediately or refrigerated within 2 hours of pick up, as well as shelf stable items. 
      • If adequate refrigeration is a concern, please contact the Nutrition Services Office to make alternative arrangements, 816-316-8212.

    • One time account set up with a unique username and password that you create
    • Easy account login using established username and password
    • Parent/Guardian may tie together ALL students in the household under one portal login
    • Order meals for multiple days all at one time during one login session(ie. You can order meals for an entire month today!)
    • May select one convenient location to pick up meals for all students in the household
    • Order online NOW to reserve meals especially for your students!
    • For faster check in at meal pick-up, please bring your email confirmation (on your mobile device or printed) when picking up meals.
