    Dear Parent/Guardian,

    I hope this letter finds your family safe and healthy. I would like to thank all of our Truman Elementary parents/guardians for making this a successful school year. I am grateful for your partnership and support as we maneuvered through the pandemic. Your dedication and efforts have not gone unnoticed.

    Online Registration: Online registration for the 2021-22 school year is open! Please go to and scroll down to the Quick Links on the right side and find “enrollment”. Every new and returning family must complete this process, so don’t delay!

    Missouri Summer Math Challenge! - The MO Summer Math Challenge is a way to help students to keep their math skills sharp over the summer. “On average, students lose 2.6 months in grade-level equivalency in math skills during summer break. It’s easy for parents to sign up their children to participate. Fight summer math loss: Missouri Math Challenge Sign Up. Summer Reading Program: To ensure your scholar keeps their Reading Skills on point your local Mid Continent Public Library is offering a summer program for students as well. To learn more about SLP 2021: Show Me You Read Today! you can visit Here you will find more details about the program, as well as tips and suggestions for reading 20 minutes a day. You can also find a registration link for creating an account and logging your SLP participation into Beanstack, our online tracking system. The Beanstack Tracker app is also available for those who prefer to log on their mobile devices, and paper logs are available at each of our Library branches.

    Back-to-School in August: Back to School Meet and Greet–Thursday, August 19th in the evening (times to be determined) First day of school for grades K, 1, and 2: Monday, August 23rd First day of school for grades 3, 4, and 5: Wednesday, August 25th
