What are YOU doing this summer?

  • Summer Explorations
    June 1 - June 25, 2020

    Summer school will be 100% online and be Monday-Thursday.

    • Keep your skills strong over the summer
    • Earn school credits
    • Get extra help in subjects you struggle with

    New for 2020

    • Classes will take place virtually.
    • Students will attend Monday-Thursday.
    • Students will be assigned classes based on their 2020-2021 grade levels.

    Enrollment Dates

    • May 4 - May 15, 2020 (All applications must be received by May 15)

    Returning Devices

    • All summer school devices will need to be dropped off during the following time:

      Monday, June 29 or Tuesday, June 30
      7:00 am - 4:00 pm
      Ruskin High School (gym entrance)
    • Use the drive-thru drop-off at the gymnasium entrance in the back parking lot.
    • All chargers, cables, cases and bags should be dropped off with the device to ensure no charges for lost items are incurred.

    • Stay in your vehicle and technology staff will assist you.

  • Elementary

    Grades K-5 highlights include:

    • 5 hours daily teacher-supported programming
    • ELA, Math, Science & Social standards
    • STEAM & Project Based Learning
    • Virtual field trip opportunities
    • Adaptive software access

    Middle School

    Grades 6-8 highlights include:

    • Math
    • Communication Arts
    • STEAM & Project Based Learning
    • Financial Literacy

    High School

    PLATO Learning Systems will be the platform for course delivery. Teachers will be available for support through Google Classroom and Zoom.


    Students are able to make up credits in a variety of core and elective classes. Incoming freshmen (9th grade) will have the opportunity to take Health for high school credit.

    • Include your student’s name, school and grade level for the 2020-2021 school year.
