Dual Credit Courses

Hickman Mills partners with UMKC, Park, Avila, and Metropolitan Community Colleges to offer college credit courses within the high school setting. These courses are also used to satisfy district graduation requirements. Students must meet minimum GPA and/or ACT requirements in order to receive dual credit; however, all students are allowed to enroll in these courses. Availability of courses is subject to teacher certification and scheduling on an annual basis.

Advanced Placement Courses

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the College Board which offers college-level curriculum and examinations to high school students. This highly rigorous program is well respected in the United States and is a great opportunity for students to have access to early college curriculum. American colleges and universities may grant placement and/or course credit to students who obtain qualifying scores on annual AP exams.
