From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Millennium Parents/Guardians,
We ended the school year in May 2020 virtually with the Millennium family safe. We truly didn’t expect to go through such a different transition but we made it. Our students, parents and teachers are to be commended for all of the hard work they have put in the last 3 months. So I say, “Thank You”.
We hope you will spend your summer making time for family, friends and fun. There are wonderful opportunities to engage in educational activities together. Bookstores, museums, nature centers and libraries are just a few places that families can explore. Mid-Continent Public LIbraries have a summer learning program available at mymcpl.org/Dream. Millennium students can enjoy some summer learning online by logging onto http://www.discoveryeducation.com and http://pltw.org to help keep their math and reading skills sharp as well as brush up on STEAM skills. Follow the school’s twitter @hmsantafe for STEAM challenges throughout the summer. Also, join the Missouri Summer Math Challenge to keep your mathematics skills sharp: https://tinyurl.com/momathsum2020
Hopefully, in a couple of months our doors will reopen and our building will once again be filled with the buzz of excitement, laughter and learning. Until then, have a SAFE and enjoyable summer break!
