From the Principal’s Desk
I would like to take this opportunity to express how proud I am to be the principal of Millennium at Santa Fe Elementary School for the 2016-17 school year. The commitment, dedication and support of the faculty, staff, students, parents and the school community will make Millennium one of the best Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematic schools in the country.
As principal, I will continue to support instruction where emphasis are placed on critical thinking skills, problem solving and project-based learning. I believe that a significant amount of time should be allocated to instruction; teachers should use a variety of assessment techniques to monitor students’ progress and parents should be involved in ALL aspects of student learning. This approach will ensure that every student will be offered the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential with parents being an integral part of student growth and development.
There are three main goals that we here at Millennium at Santa Fe Elementary School expect to accomplish this year, and those are:
- Provide a safe learning environment for all students
- Implement the Project based/STEAM blended curriculum with rigor and fidelity to all students that will prepare your student for college or designated career path
- Deliver top notch educational experiences focusing on the strengths and needs, with timely academic and personal interventions that reflect the students learning progress through exceptional parental involvement
We are proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff.
