Why I Chose Education as My Career of Choice: I chose to become an educator because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children. I wanted to be able to teach children to read and to belief in themselves. I wanted to instill in children that if they work hard, they can accomplish anything they set their minds to and that failure is never an option. I also love working with children and watching them grow from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. My favorite subject to teach is Math. I love teaching fractions and being able to see when children make the connection that fractions are apart of our everyday lives.
Personal Interests
In my spare time, I love reading. I am part of a book club that meets monthly. I grew up going to the library and reading. Now, I read on my kindle but, I also enjoy just turning the pages of a good book. I enjoy spending time with family. I love to travel and I often travel with my book club and my family at least once a year. I am also very active in my church.
