Why I Chose Education as My Career of Choice/My Philosophy of Teaching

I truly believe that education chose me, I did not choose it. I believe it is a calling in my life. I answered this calling because I wanted to help students reach their full potential by providing them with a quality education. I also wanted to make a difference in their lives and encourage them to always believe in themselves and to strive for excellence.

My philosophy of teaching is to be a reflective practitioner and a lifelong learner. This philosophy is conducive to being an effective teacher. My reflection, on my teaching style, strategies, and lessons, helps me to provide quality education to my students. Being a life-long learner helps me to develop professionally and personally as my students are developing academically, socially, & personally.

Personal Interests

In my spare time, I am an entertainer: actress/singer/model...I have been in several plays, musicals, fashion shows, and videos.  I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and close friends, reading, traveling, and participating in several ministries at my church.
