Why I Chose Education as My Career of Choice

Middle school lays the foundation for adulthood.  I believe in educating the whole child, and not just teaching social studies.  For example, "Thoughts become words, words become action, action becomes habits, and habits become character."  I believe in BIST Behavior Intervention Support Team, and I want to support my students into thinking about their actions, and making good choices.  Behavior has consequences, and it is best they learn this now when the consequences are not as severe for them.  Middle school can be frustrating as they are learning responsibility, accountability, and integrity.  I will teach my students like I would my own children because they are now my school family.  I appreciate support from parents, and together we can nurture and train the child in the way they should go!

Personal Interests

I quilt and love to play cards!  I enjoy my family!  I am involved in my church. I also write poetry.  I enjoy going to smooth jazz concerts!
