Why I Chose Education as My Career of Choice:
I have always enjoyed working with children of all ages. There are also numerous teachers, coaches and administrators in my family. I believe that education is everything--no one can ever take away from you the training, skills, degrees, certifications, etc., that you have learned/earned. I also believe in being a life-long learner; furthermore, I believe in modeling that for my students.
I am married and my husband Adam and I have three children; Allison, Andrew and Abigail. We enjoy major league baseball games (Go Royals!) and have traveled to almost every stadium in the league--only nine to go! I am also a dog lover and we have two miniature dachshunds at home (Astro and Amos). A dream/future goal of mine is to be certified as a handler for a therapy dog.
I believe in giving back to my community and helping those in need. My favorite charities/community service organizations include the following: KC Pet Project, Great Plains SPCA, Harvesters, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, MO Special Olympics and Scouts, just to name a few. I am an alumnae of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and a proud Delta Zeta Mom.
