We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. The primary goal of the Nutrition Services Department is to ensure no child goes hungry. Achievement of this goal allows us to support the district goal of educating all students to become lifelong learners… one meal at a time.
PARENTS AS TEACHERS
PAT is a free parent education and family support program serving families from pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten, usually around age 5. Parents are supported by PAT-certified parent educators who are trained to translate scientific information on early brain development into specific, actionable advice on what, when, how, and why. By understanding what to expect during each stage of development, parents can easily capture teachable moments in everyday life to enhance their child's language development, intellectual growth, social development, and motor skills.
