• What it Includes: Parents/guardians must provide documents such as birth certificates, proof of residency, immunization records, and emergency contacts.
• Example:
  • A family moving to a new city must enroll their child in the local elementary school.
  • Kindergarten students must be enrolled before the school year begins.

• Definition: The process of selecting courses, activities, or school-related programs after enrollment.
• When it Happens: Usually annually or per semester for returning students.
• What it Includes: Choosing classes, signing up for extracurricular activities, or registering for standardized testing.
• Example:
  • High school students register for their specific courses each year based on graduation requirements.
  • Parents register their child for after-school programs or summer school.

• Definition: The process of confirming a student’s continued eligibility to attend the school each year.
• When it Happens: Typically at the beginning of each school year.
• What it Includes: Parents/guardians must verify and update student information, such as address, emergency contacts, and medical records.
• Example:
  • Every summer, parents must complete verification forms to confirm their child still resides in the school district.
  • Schools may require residency verification before allowing students to start the new school year.

Key Differences

To enroll a student, you will need to provide:

Proof of Residency

• Mortgage, rental, or lease agreement (For lease agreements, upload the first page and signature page with landlord contact details.)
• One current utility bill (No more than 30 days old; disconnection notices are not accepted. If utilities are included in your rent, upload the lease page stating this.)

Student Documents

• Immunization records
• Birth certificate

Parent/Guardian Identification

• Copy of driver's license

Not the lease or mortgage holder?
If you or your spouse are not listed on the lease or mortgage, you must complete a Two-Party Affidavit, along with:
✔ The lease/mortgage holder’s utility bill
✔ Parent/Guardian’s business mail (no more than 30 days old)
✔ IDs for both parties

• Pre-Kindergarten: 4 DTAP, 3 IPV, 3 HIB, 3 Hep B, 4 pneumococcal, 1 MMR, 1 varicella.
• Kindergarten - 12th Grade: 4+ DTAP, 3+ IPV, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella, 3+ Hep B.
• 8th - 12th Grade: 1 TDAP, 1 MCV4.
• 12th Grade: 2nd MCV4 (after the 16th birthday).
