Enrollment Center
The Hickman Mills School District Enrollment Center is your one-stop destination for enrolling new students and re-enrolling current students. Whether registering a first-time student or updating information for a returning student, the Enrollment Center provides all the necessary resources and support. From Pre-K to 12th grade, our streamlined online process ensures that every student's records are accurate and up-to-date, with clear guidelines for submitting essential documents like proof of residency, immunization records, and more. If you're new to the district, we guide you through every step of the process, ensuring a smooth transition. For current families, re-enrollment is quick and easy through our Parent Portal. Our dedicated team is here to assist you with any questions, making the enrollment process seamless.
Pre-K Application
- Eligibility: Children 4 years old on or before July 31. Some students who meet a developmental delay may be eligible for preschool at age 3; eligibility is identified during the screenings.
- Programs Available: Opportunities for students aged 6 weeks to 5 years, including 2 Early Childhood Special Education locations and home visiting services through the Parents as Teachers program.
Kindergarten Application
- Eligibility: Children 5 years old on or before August 31.
- Applications: Now open for the 2024-2025 school year for neighborhood and signature schools.

- New Families can Apply Now for Pre-K (Children must turn four (4) by July 31, 2024)
- New Families can Apply Now for Kindergarten (Children must turn five (5) by July 31, 2024)
- Applications are NOW OPEN for new students for the Ingels Elementary Extended School Year.
- Applications are not complete until all required documents are uploaded.

The re-enrollment process is streamlined through our online system for students currently attending a Hickman Mills school.

Annual Online Registration opens April 1, 2024.

Annual Online Registration must be completed before students can attend school this fall.

Log into your Parent Portal account to complete your Online Registration application.

Families can add a new student when you are registering current students.

For residency verification, families will need to provide just one current utility bill in the parent's/guardian's name.
Special Education Enrollment
Hickman Mills provides a free and appropriate public education to all students with identified disabilities residing within district boundaries, from age three through twenty-one. This includes students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and other special needs.
Definitions:
- Guardian: A person appointed by a court to have care and custody of a minor or incapacitated person.
- Resident: A person who physically resides and is domiciled within the school district.
Immunization Requirements
All students must provide up-to-date immunization records before attending school. Religious and medical exemptions require appropriate documentation, updated annually.
General Immunization Requirements:

Pre-Kindergarten: 4 DTAP, 3 IPV, 3 HIB, 3 Hep B, 4 pneumococcal, 1 MMR, 1 varicella.

Kindergarten - 12th Grade: 4+ DTAP, 3+ IPV, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella, 3+ Hep B.

8th - 12th Grade: 1 TDAP, 1 MCV4.

12th Grade: 2nd MCV4 (after the 16th birthday).
