  • #ATTENDANCEMATTERS: HMC-1 is taking on chronic absences through our “Let’s Be Present…Attendance Matters” campaign. Throughout September, you will receive information and tips on ensuring your student is at school. If you think missing a day here or there won’t matter, think again. Absences add up quickly. By missing just one day every two weeks, you would be on track to miss nearly a month of school for the year! Click here to learn more.

  • MONDAY'S SOLAR ECLIPSE: HMC-1 recognizes that Monday's solar eclipse provides an amazing educational opportunity. We also understand the profound safety concerns around the lifetime of damage that can be caused by looking at the sun. Therefore, out of an abundance of safety, all HMC-1 students will be inside the classroom during the August 21 solar eclipse. Learn more about this decision.
