  • CARING FOR KIDS PARTNERS:

We have amazing Caring for Kids partners that support our school and students.

We are supported by 3 churches and 2 business partners

In October 2018, Caring for Kids of Kansas City highlighted their partnership with Truman Elementary and invited Mrs. Herrera to speak at their Fundraising Banquet on October 23rd.  Mrs. Herrera was recognized for her “commitment and dedication to the school, the impact she has had on the staff, students, and families, as well as the collaborative work done with Caring for Kids to help Truman reach its goals."

  • ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL:  Doors will open for students to begin arriving at 7:25 a.m. each morning. Students are counted tardy after 7:40 a.m. every day. All changes to dismissal need to be made to the office by 2:00 p.m. We discourage parents from picking students up after 2:15 p.m.

    2:30-LINC is dismissed

2:35-2:45 bus riders are dismissed by grade

Once buses are gone, car riders will be dismissed.

Cars will be asked to pull all the way down to the north end of the drive and to form 2 lines. The Truman staff will load students into their car.

To ensure safety, please do not leave your vehicle or motion for your child to join you. Trust that the Truman staff is going to work as fast they can to get children loaded into cars.
